Sonic the Hedgehog merupakan seri video game terkenal yang diciptakan dan dirilis oleh Sega. Video game Sonic kebanyakan bergenre platform, action atau racing. Game pertama Sonic the Hedgehog dirilis pada tahun 1991 yang dirilis di konsol Sega Genesis. Beberapa developer franchise game Sonic the Hedgehog di antaranya yaitu Sega, Sonic Team, Dimps dan Aspect. Seri game Sonic the Hedgehog terus bertahan sejak era keemasannya di tahun 90an hinga sekarang.
